Lifford Cannabis Solutions is looking for a solution-driven, and motivated sales representative to join our growing sales team across Canada. The primary objectives are to be the educator and advocate for the cannabis categories of edibles, extracts, vapes, beverages, topicals and flower with retailers and consumers within the adult-use market on behalf of our suppliers. By maintaining on-going relationships with retailers, you are looking to increase sales volumes sold, increase market share and brand awareness at the consumer level, develop key partnerships, activations and events while working within budget.

Key Decision Making in this Role:

·      Make recommendations to the CEO, Cannabis Sales Director & Regional Directors to ensure Lifford sales in the assigned territory are maximised in all channels

·      Key conduit between head office, customer & sales reps

·      Work with the Cannabis Sales Director to ensure inventory & stock flow measures are on target

·      Work with the Cannabis Sales Director on the provincial portfolio strategy

·      Able to pivot and think fast in a fast pace environment that changes daily, weekly and monthly

·      Able to find solutions to challenges derived from a developing retail & supply chain environment

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with Cannabis Sales Director to establish and execute sales targets & marketing goals for the region

  • Build events & activity in order to help increase awareness & sales

  • Developing specific plans to ensure growth both in the long and short-term

  • Explore the consumer occasions that transcend these key categories & initiate activity that elevates them in the customer’s & consumer’s minds

  • Educate retailers & customers through sales and marketing initiatives, programs, in-store and online engagements to increase brand awareness

  • Effectively manage the given territory, ensuring all administration records, budget and information is current and up to date

  • Visit various suppliers and retailers within assigned territory on a regular basis to:

  • Maintain strong relationships

  • Identify new opportunities to activate cannabis brands within retail environments

  • Build a partnership with retailers to maximise distribution and visibility on behalf of clients

  • Gather inventory, product, service and industry feedback

  • Maintain full working knowledge of client brand(s) activity, history, and products

  • Work with Cannabis Sales Director to challenge and identify new opportunities

  • Keep abreast of competitor trends and report appropriate developments

  • Understand and comply with and federal and provincial legal and regulatory regulations

  • Attend and participate in various company sales and marketing meetings

  • Ensure expenses and reports are completed and delivered on time

  • Motivated self-starter who can set their own goals within a constantly changing environment

  • Share knowledge and best practices with fellow teammates and departments

  • Strong problem solver with a solution focused and growth mindset

COMPETENCIES:

· Strong project management skills & attention to detail

· Microsoft Office – World, Excel, PowerPoint etc


Key Challenges in Achieving Goal(s):

  • Manage multiple relationships across the cannabis supply chain

  • Able to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory

  • Work with a very diverse team of sales representatives

  • Educating oneself on regulatory changes as they relate to municipality, provincial and federal within the assigned territory

  • Ensure agreed activity at Head Office is translated into strong executional plans

  • Balancing the personal digital opportunities with the needs of LCS & our suppliers

  • Clear understanding of legal engagement with respect to Cannabis and what the consequences are for non-compliance

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to contribute to a constantly changing environment

  • Able to pivot constructively when faced with unplanned challenges


Qualifications:

·      CanSell, SellSafe and / or CannaReps training mandatory

Experience:

*      5+ years related sales experience, key account experience preferred

*      Expert knowledge on cannabis and diverse product categories

*      Proven leadership qualities and habits

*      Strong knowledge of the sales processes as well as cross-functional exposure to other company business operations (logistics, inventory management, marketing, accounting, supply chain)

*      Alcohol Beverage experience at a high level is preferable but not mandatory

*      No driving restrictions with a clean driver’s licence and access to vehicle

*      Expert knowledge of cannabis across all product categories including flower, vapes, extracts, edibles, topicals and beverages
